Mitch Barbara

Mitchell is an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist providing physiotherapy services across the Hume Clinic and Mitchell Clinic locations in Canberra. He has experience working with athletes, active individuals, post-operative patients, and people looking to return to work, sport, and everyday activity through high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation.

With a background in high-performance sport and strength-based rehabilitation, Mitchell combines hands-on physiotherapy with practical exercise programming tailored to each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and sport.

Mitchell has worked extensively within elite and representative sport, including roles as Head Physiotherapist and Rehabilitation Physiotherapist for the Canberra Raiders NRLW program, along with several years working within the Raiders junior pathways system. He has also worked across weightlifting, netball, and basketball environments, and currently works as a Physiotherapist and Assistant Coach for Weightlifting ACT.

Having personally undergone two ACL reconstructions himself, Mitchell understands the physical and mental demands that can come with injury rehabilitation and returning to sport. This personal experience helps inform an empathetic, realistic, and goal-oriented approach to patient care.
